EASTER - A Word to Live by

Everyone
“This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:3-4)
Easter is for everyone. God desires that no one should perish but rather that all come to knowledge of ‘the truth’. What is ‘the Truth’? Jesus declared He was ‘The Truth’ in John 14:6. Jesus' resurrection on Easter Sunday opened salvation to all of humanity. As a Christ follower you are commissioned to share Jesus with everyone this Easter so they come to believe and follow The Truth(Jesus).
Arise
“Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at every street corner. (Lamentations 2:19)
The Lord awoke me the other night with this scripture as a message for the church. Jesus arose on the third day of Easter as a sign of deliverance from death and sin. Today we are being called to arise boldly and declare God’s resurrection power. Arise and take back what the enemy has stolen, including your health, job and finances. We are overcomers by the Blood and the Living Word. (Revelation 12:11)
Sealed
“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4:29-30)
Just as Jesus’ tomb was sealed and could only be opened by supernatural intervention, so our souls are sealed by the Holy Spirit for redemption on the Day of the Lord. Sealed letters in Bible times ensured privacy, authenticity, and authority, often secured with clay seals stamped by a signet ring. We have been stamped with God’s approval!
Treasure
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” (Matthew 13:44)
God’s Kingdom is His presence and dominion. It’s not just a future place in heaven but is what we are called to bring into existence each and every day on earth as per the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:10). Do you make God’s presence and His will your greatest priority each day, over work, family, finance and entertainment? As we celebrate Easter this year, let’s recommit to making His Kingdom our greatest treasure.
Everlasting
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” (Isaiah 40:28)
The character of God does not change; from the beginning through the end of time, the one thing that remains is Him. His goodness, love, power, might, authority, gentleness, grace, righteousness, and holiness are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Since God Himself does not change, the life He offers to those who believe in His son, Jesus Christ, also has no expiration date.
Redeemed
“For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins’ penalty].” (Colossians 1:13-14) AMP
He has rescued us from darkness. Because of Jesus, we have been forgiven of our sins, and He has canceled the penalty of our sins. We have been redeemed from the curse, by love Himself. His stripes were our healing and redemption from sickness and disease. As joint heirs with Christ, His righteousness has become our own. We can boldly go before the throne of grace to seek the Father, because of the Son.
