Transformed Thinking

Romans 12:2 is such a powerful and often quoted verse, but ever wonder what you could do practically to transform your mind and your thinking? I believe that applying the Word (Bible) and Spirit (Holy Spirit) are fundamental to this transformation. Let's examine:
Word Transformation Practices
Read the Word
Read it often. Read it daily, and multiple times a day, if possible. Make time to read and listen to God's Word from a physical Bible. Use a digital format such as the YouVerse Bible App, when travelling or mobile. Make it a priority and a pattern for daily life.
Meditate on the Word
This means to remind yourself of scripture and repeat it. This could be just in your mind or speaking it out, throughout the day. This is a powerful way to activate God's Word in your daily life.
Listen to the Word
Listen to sound Biblical based teachings, and not ones that give you a warm and fuzzy feeling, but rather those based on God’s Word. Listen to teachers that instruct directly from what is in the Word, and ones that challenge you with actions to take as a result.
Spirit Transformation Practices
Seek Holy Spirit Baptism
Jesus promised his disciples in Acts 1:5, that He would baptize (immerse) them with the Holy Spirit, so they can receive power and become witnesses for Him. This is a promise for each of us also. Check out this free e-guide to learn more: Baptism of Holy Spirit, Why it’s Important and Relevant for Living Today.
Ask the Holy Spirit to Partner with You
Ask not just daily but throughout the day. Be aware of the Holy Spirit’s presence and partnership with you. Ask him to be your advocate, councilor, teacher, guide and truth revealer, attributes Jesus used to describe Him. Read John Chapters 14-16 that unpack all the benefits of living a Spirit-led life as Jesus taught us.
The Benefit
The benefit of a transformed mind is you get to ‘test and approve what God's will is’ for living. When your mind is controlled by the Word and the Spirit, life is no longer a guessing game. Clarity follows as God guides you into what His will is for you, ‘His good pleasing and perfect will.’

The Nuclear Renaissance: Clean Energy's Unexpected Comeback

In the beginning, God said, "Let there be light," and separated light from darkness. Today, as we grapple with powering an increasingly digital world, we find ourselves returning to one of humanity's most powerful—and controversial—energy sources: nuclear power.
The AI Energy Crisis
Artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies require tremendous amounts of stable electricity generation, with some reports estimating that data centers could consume up to 12% of total U.S. energy production by 2028. This insatiable appetite for power has sparked an unlikely revival: tech giants like Meta, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft are turning to nuclear power to meet the growing energy demands of AI and data centers, with investments in next-generation nuclear and small modular reactors (SMRs). (see previous article on SMRs for more info.)
This isn't just a theoretical shift. Microsoft has backed the reopening of Three Mile Island Unit 1 as a crucial step in meeting the growing energy demands of AI data centers with carbon-free nuclear power, demonstrating how seriously the tech industry is taking this solution.
The Investment Opportunity
For Christian investors seeking to be faithful stewards while participating in technological advancement, nuclear energy presents a compelling case. Lowering carbon emissions and meeting increasing electricity demands from data centers are among the reasons nuclear energy is receiving more interest. Nuclear and uranium stocks have surged as power demand grows, boosted by government policies, global electrification, and AI spending, with the IAEA projecting global nuclear capacity to grow by more than 160% by 2050.
Investment opportunities span the entire supply chain: uranium mining companies, reactor manufacturers, utility companies operating nuclear facilities, and specialized ETFs focused on nuclear energy. With a long enough time horizon, it seems like nuclear energy companies have a glowing future, though wise investors may need to wait for significant dips to buy and then be willing to hold for a long time.
A New Generation of Safety
Modern nuclear technology bears little resemblance to the reactors of decades past. Small modular reactors display enhanced safety performance through inherent and passive safety features, offer better upfront capital cost affordability, and are suitable for remote regions with less developed infrastructures. The use of factory-fabricated reactor modules, standardized components, and digital technology is driving significant improvements in plant construction efficiency, reducing on-site assembly time, and enhancing safety standards.
These passive safety systems mean that even in worst-case scenarios, the reactors can shut down and cool themselves without human intervention or external power—a dramatic improvement that addresses many historical concerns.
“God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Christian Ethical Considerations
As believers, we must approach nuclear energy with both wisdom and responsibility. Genesis 1:28 calls us to "fill the earth and subdue it"—to steward creation wisely. Nuclear power offers carbon-free baseload electricity that can help preserve God's creation while meeting genuine human needs.
However, we must also acknowledge the serious responsibilities: safe waste disposal, protection against misuse, and ensuring technology serves rather than harms communities. Proverbs 27:12 reminds us that "The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty." Our investment and advocacy in this space must be coupled with accountability and safety consciousness.
Looking Forward
The nuclear renaissance isn't merely about powering AI—it's about rethinking how we steward the resources and knowledge God has entrusted to humanity.
The question is whether we, as Christian stewards, will participate thoughtfully in this transformation, ensuring it serves both human needs and caring for God’s creation.

Blueberries - For Blood Pressure, Heart and Other Benefits

According to Dr. William Li, one serving of blueberries per week has been shown to lower the risk of developing high blood pressure by 10%.
Anthocyanins - the powerful plant compounds (antioxidants) found in blueberries, help improve vascular function, reduce oxidative stress, and support nitric oxide production - all key to maintaining healthy blood flow.
Anthocyanins may also play a role in protecting brain function, enhancing gut health, and supporting exercise recovery (great for smoothies). In addition, blueberries may improve insulin sensitivity, helping maintain stable blood sugar levels and potentially limit the risk of type 2 diabetes. They are high in essential nutrients, including fiber, vitamins C & K, and manganese.
In summary, blueberries are a nutrient-dense fruit that supports cardiovascular, cognitive, metabolic, and digestive health while providing potent antioxidant protection against aging and disease. Including just about half to one cup of blueberries regularly in your diet can provide these benefits, making them a convenient, tasty, and nutrient-rich superfood to support overall health.
“Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.”

UK Implementing Mandatory Digital ID

A few issues ago, we addressed the topic of Government Digital ID Systems, and the possible concern of government control over their citizens through its implementation.
While we indicated this is being implemented in communist China, many were shocked by the recent United Kingdom plans related to mandatory digital IDs. On September 25, 2025, the UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, announced this mandatory digital ID scheme referred to as the "Brit Card". He made it clear in his statement that: “You will not be able to work in the United Kingdom if you do not have a digital ID”. He also indicated it would be in place by the end of the current Parliament, likely by 2029.
The irony is that he justified the push for its implementation as a reason to curb illegal immigration, which is actually something good. All nations have a right to control their borders. However, this is a ridiculous reason to justify the need for a mandatory digital ID. Today, UK employers can already require you to show your social security ID and passport as part of employment verification. Why not focus on securing the physical borders itself, especially when the UK is an island nation.
Our Response
Take a stand, speak up, and support leaders that limit government overreach. The UK digital ID rollout is one step closer to governments gaining control of the lives of citizens. It’s a step towards a one world government, followed by the mark of the beast that will be unveiled during the tribulation.
Pray for UK citizens and for others in western nations, as we are seeing the creep of government control and socialism.
Remember we serve the King, and be assured of where your citizenship lies:
“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Fear not, because as believers we are citizens of heaven first and foremost. We also have assurance of our God given identity in Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior!
